Overview

The Venango Regional Planning Commission Board is made up of fifteen (15) members. Board members are currently eligible to serve up to two (2) consecutive five-year terms. A majority of board members must be locally elected officials. Currently, eight (8) of those fifteen positions are filled by local elected officials and the remaining seven (7) are filled by non-elected residents. Appointments to the VCRPC Board are made by the Venango County Board of County Commissioners.

Purpose

The Venango County Regional Planning Commission (VCRPC) was established to create an improved spirit of cooperation among the municipalities of Venango County. Shared services are backed by professional and technical expertise of full-time staff members, who bring proposals to the Board for review and consultation.

Mission

The mission of the Venango County Regional Planning Commission (VCRPC) is to support and advise all municipalities, other partners, and organizations to aid in growth, development and land use in accordance with the comprehensive plan.
